Apprentice Level
Therapists who have graduated an accredited school with a minimum of 500 hours of instruction, clinical experience, active CAMTC licensure, and a proven aptitude for the art and skill of Massage Therapy may begin their apprenticeship with Athena Advanced Massage Therapy, and begin to learn and develop the skills and techniques inherent to the advanced deep tissue modality known as “Muscle Melting.” Already possessing baseline skills as recognized by their schools and state boards, these therapists are at a level of skill that for many other therapists will be the highest the ever achieve, but this is the level at which these therapists begin their training with Athena.
Master Level
Once Apprentice Therapists have thoroughly and completely gained the expansive skills of in the discipline of Muscle Melting Deep Tissue, and have demonstrated a proficiency by bringing life-changing solutions and miraculous results across a number of different physiques, body types, muscle obstacles, injuries, and restrictions, they may be tested for mastery. The timeline and journey of mastery is different for every therapist, but it is generally understood that mastery does not occur any sooner than two years after beginning their study, and should not take more than five years for a serious and dedicated practitioner.
Grand Master Level
Achieving mastery is not the end of the journey, but the beginning. Master therapists with at least 10 years of experience, who are capable of teaching the Muscle Melting skill set in its entirety, as well as having completely learned and mastered Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation techniques, Energy Work, and Spiritual Integration, in conjunction with a comprehensive grasp of Anatomy, Physiology, and Kinesiology, are encouraged to develop and specialize their skills further. Upon developing their own study of the art of Massage Therapy– that is, their own modality– once the modality is proven to be effective and fully realized, they may apply for the rank of Grand Master. The Grand Master therapist of Athena Advanced Massage Therapy, is Logan Alexios, whose signature style of Massage Therapy is Muscle Melting.
